The new season 2009

The new season begins on the Saturday 25th April and summer is upon us. The 1st team had a hit and miss season in 2008, finishing mid-table again and runners-up to double wining Woodhouse Grange. The squad is unchanged with competition for places increased by fresh talented youngsters, captian Stephen Langstaff will be looking for a silverware hunt in all competitions.

The 2nd team will be hoping to go one step better than last year after consolidating their position in Division 4B and finished very strongly in the second half of the season. Led again by Ian Watkinson, the team will have confident 3rd teamers breathing down their necks for a place.

The 3rd team had a fantastic first seaso in the Nidderdale league, gaining promotion in their maiden experience of the league. Improvement is again the order of the day and back to back promotion will be the aim of a young side led by the experience and guidance of Guy Musgrave and Doug Ramsey. Monitor their progress at Nidderdale's Division 7With lots of talent coming through the ranks Sessay are hoping for a great 2009 season.

Sessay cricket club is situated in a small village at the heart of North Yorkshire, with the white horse on Sutton Bank watching proceeding's and one of the best grounds in the area it is a great place to play and enjoy cricket!
